Description: Position Description

Position open for a Computational Data Analyst at Harvard Medical School to join a team using high-throughput technologies and computational tools to unravel the mysteries of the immune system, in normal defenses and in autoimmune diseases. The Junior Analyst will work in close collaboration with experimental investigators and experienced Computational Biologists in the lab and across the ImmGen consortium. They will use software suites for genomic data analysis, in particular single-cell genomics, and develop data-driven algorithms and software to best extract biological answers from large immuno- genomics datasets (population and single-cell RNAseq, epigenomics, microbiome, CRISPR screens). Will do so using advanced multivariate statistics and AI/ML approaches, implemented in R or Python. Will also partake in development and deployment of data visualization tools. We are looking for a strong team Revision 2.22.19player, with a good foundation in computer sciences applicable to biology, and with the potential to learn through interaction with "wet lab" biologists.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computational Sciences, Mathematics, Computational biology or related field.
  • 3+ years relevant experience.


Additional Qualifications and Skills

Experience in genomic data analysis or in deep Machine Learning would be a plus.

Additional Information

This is a two-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.
