The Lytx Labs Team develops machine learning and computer vision algorithms to monitor and assess the state of drivers and their environment to identify risk and improve safety for our clients. The role of Data Scientist will work on all aspects of the development cycle to help prototype, evaluate, deploy and maintain models that help enhance and differentiate Lytx as the leader in the Video Safety and Telematics industry!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine learning models to tackle key business problems and improve client performance, retention and satisfaction.
• Monitor, maintain and retrain existing machine learning models to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Analyze data to find trends, evaluate and compare efficiency of the developed models, and report statistics on model performance.
• Lead projects, guide team members and take ownership of end-to-end model lifecycle, including data processing, programming, monitoring of production applications, etc.

Requirements

• MS/PhD in computer science, electrical engineering or other related subject area.
• > 5 years’ experience
• Experience developing end-to-end machine learning solutions
• Expertise with traditional machine learning techniques and coding packages (e.g. scikit-learn)
• Experience developing deep learning models in at least one of the following areas (CV, NLP, Reinforcement Learning)
• Strong statistical and mathematical background
• Strong coding background, especially Python

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring salary for this position is:

$148,500.00 - $187,500.00
