JOB SUMMARY:

As an Employer Relations Events Coordinator at the Center for Career and Professional Development, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the student experience by assisting in the planning, organization, and execution of various career-related events. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the services we offer to students by increasing the bandwidth of staff, ensuring successful events, and empowering students to achieve their career goals.

JOB DUTIES:

50% - Essential - Event Logistics and Management
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Events and Employer Engagement to oversee the logistics, contracts, budgets, and running all career related events
- Manage and support the planning and execution of the all-majors career fairs, discipline/industry focused fairs, employer networking events, and Center for Career and Professional Development engagement events

30% - Essential - Partnerships and Outreach
- Partner with employers to offer workshops and recruiting events providing students with valuable guidance on subjects such as preparing for career fairs
-Develop partnerships with campus departments and colleges to expand opportunities for Clemson students
-Lead student focus groups that aim to cultivate events that prioritize students' needs and success, nurture student involvement and leadership growth
- Develop relationships with new companies through email, phone, and in-person meetings, presenting compelling pitches to convey the value of recruiting Clemson students

20% - Essential - Industry Research
- Conduct market research to identify and address potential industry and geographic employer gaps to provide Clemson students with additional opportunities
-Keep up to date on industry trends, new businesses in the upstate, and job market demands

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Strong customer service skills are essential, as this position involves interaction with departments across campus, student organizations, and employers.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative event ideas.

Proficiency in Excel and experience with budgeting .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.
