SOF/CF integration enhances the ability of the USMC CF to transition from counterinsurgency to a broader focus of operational capabilities. Contractor support for the SOF/CF Integration task will provide the USMC with SOF qualified personnel that possess a thorough and comprehensive understanding of Joint SOF operations (air, ground, and maritime) at the tactical and operational levels and coordinate USSOCOM J7 expertise on TECOM's training mission, capabilities, programs and resources for the employment/integration of SOF with USMC and other Service CF. The following are mandatory requirements that must be met in order to successfully accomplish the SOF/CF Integration task:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise designated USMC JNTC site on SOF employment (TTP), lessons learned, SOF organizations, SOF policy and doctrine, SOF's core missions (Foreign Internal Defense, Counter Terrorism, Unconventional Warfare) in support of Irregular Warfare employment capabilities. Advise designated USMC JNTC site on SOF employment (TTPs), lessons learned, SOF organizations, SOF policy and doctrine, SOF's core missions (Foreign Internal Defense, Counter Terrorism, Unconventional Warfare) in support of Irregular Warfare employment capabilities.
  • Advise designated USMC JNTC site on SOF's capabilities and involvement in Counter Insurgency operations and Stabilization, Security, Transition, and Reconstruction operations and the appropriate level of SOF employment within the USMC pre-deployment training programs and Service level exercises.
  • Provide SOF expertise and assistance to designated USMC JNTC site for SOF integration exercise design, development, and planning while reviewing and analyzing exercise concepts and plans for the suitability, feasibility, acceptability, technical accuracy, adequacy, and integration of SOF into USMC CF exercises/events.
  • Provide relevant and current feedback to exercised unit commanders on SOF/CF integration procedures.
  • Coordinate potential USMC CF/SOF training opportunities for involvement within USMC JNTC accredited sites and attend JELC events to assist in the planning of training exercises by offering suggestions to the Government regarding the employment of SOF.
  • Serve as SOF SME/SOF unit LNO to USMC units conducting pre-deployment training at designated USMC JNTC site, coordinate and portray the activities of higher, lower, and adjacent SOF units during designated exercises while advising TECOM (TECD) and designated USMC JNTC site modeling and simulations centers on SOF organizations, capabilities, limitations, and employment (TTPs).
  • Coordinate with designated USMC JNTC site for exercise concepts and plans prior to serving as the SOF SME/LNO to exercise USMC, other-Services and multi-national partner units.
  • Naval integration capability, complementing each of the SOF/CF integration capabilities at MAGTFTC (responsive to the Expeditionary Warfare Training Groups) in order to incorporate emerging naval integration capabilities supporting joint maritime campaigning by expanding concepts such as distributed maritime operations, expeditionary advance base operations, littoral operations in contested environments.
  • Capability to build relationships, communicate, and coordinate SOF/CF and naval integration activities that compliment service level training events.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Attendance at a professional military education institution/program (resident/non-resident), such as Senior SNCO Academy, Command and Staff College and/or Top-Level School.
EXPERIENCE
  • The ideal candidate will be a former Field Grade Officer or Senior SNCO who has experience working with Marines and Special Operations Forces.
  • Experience as an Exercise Designer desired.

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus
  • Daily travel in local area during workday (including use of personal vehicle)
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
  • $80,000-$100,000
