Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Assists the department with all clinical placement requests and documentation in compliance with the amended regulations of the Department of Education and requests for information from Higher Education Boards.
  • Serves as a liaison between the College of Nursing faculty, administration, University attorney’s office and outside agencies and boards with respect to contracts.
  • Submits reports by the required deadlines, coordinates with the College of Nursing administration and faculty to ensure that the college remains compliant with State Board of Nursing regulations.
  • Supports the administrative needs of the department.
  • Compiles and updates State Board of Nursing listings to include information regarding specific requirements for students, faculty and preceptors.
  • Assists faculty with clinical site placements for students.
  • Collects, assembles, and documents that all clinical agreements and preceptor agreements are in order.
  • Monitors to ensure that faculty and students have met all regulations required by hosting clinical sites, State Board of Nursing and Higher Education Boards.
  • Compiles data from various resources using Banner, college website, bulletin, and faculty/administrative files for Higher Education Boards.
  • Responds to requests for information from Higher Education Boards.
  • Establishes and manages files for all states.
  • Coordinates with College of Nursing administration and faculty to ensure that the college remains compliant with State Board of Nursing regulations.
  • Serves as a resource/liaison for faculty regarding these clinical affiliations by researching appropriate websites, contracts.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work scheduled as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
