Overview

The position will work closely with the Institute leadership team to foster and manage essential external relationships with guest speakers, sponsors and the Institute’s external mentor pool. In addition, the position will be responsible for leading and managing “top of the funnel” application-based entrepreneurship programs as well as those programs for Female Founders and Inclusive Founders, with the goal of engaging entrepreneurs deeper into the Institute’s more intensive programming and services. The role will report directly to the Director of the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute and will work closely with the entire Institute team.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Degree in engineering, business or related area relevant to entrepreneurship.

Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include 1+ years of relevant experience practicing the Lean Startup/customer Development methodology either as an instructor, entrepreneur or mentor/coach. Must also include 1-3 years in teaching entrepreneurship, design thinking, product management and/or related topics, and in leading educational programs and administrative activities. 2-3 years experience in mentoring and/or coaching students in a professional capacity is also required

Preferred Experience:
3+ years Experience in higher education and/or startup or venture capital environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to be a proactive team player, self-starter, to work collaboratively both internally and externally, and to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent verbal and communication skills across a variety of mediums and formats, and comfort with public speaking/teaching. Superior organizational, project management skills, including the ability to meet and manage deliverables in a timely manner, attention to detail, and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. High-level of comfort and experience with quantitative research and data analysis methods. Position may require evening and/or weekend hours for select Institute initiatives and events.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $88,000.00 to USD $108,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
