We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Class A Driver position!

Here is some of what you’ll do…

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the safe pick-up and delivery of all equipment as directed by their Supervisor or Central Dispatch.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Safely load equipment on low bed tractor-trailer at the rental yard and deliver it to the customer jobsite as directed by the dispatcher.
  2. Observe all State and Federal Laws and regulations that pertain to the loading, hauling and unloading of heavy equipment.
  3. Ensure that contract is signed at the jobsite.
  4. Provide any necessary instructions to contractor and / or operator.
  5. Pick-up and return equipment to rental yard when rental is completed.
  6. Responsible for the inspection of equipment when delivering and picking up.
  7. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Minimum 2 years experience hauling heavy equipment.
  2. Possess the experience and knowledge of loading and securing equipment.
  3. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to loading and hauling heavy equipment.
  4. Ability to interpret road maps and find job site locations on time.
  5. Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
  6. Valid CA Class A Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  7. Ability to pass DOT requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain.
  2. Handling: Ability to grasp and work with hands.
  3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts, small tools, batteries, and tampers. Lifting up to 60lbs. Daily; frequent exertion.
  4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
  7. Climbing: In and out of equipment.
  8. Vision: Reads rental documents, invoices and bills.
  9. Talking: Communicates via telecommunications and in person.
  10. Sitting: Sits in equipment and in vehicles.

ENVIRONMENTAL:

  1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temp/Weather: Works in a warehouse and outside with variations of temperature and weather.
  3. Exposure: Foul odors, fumes and harsh substances.
