Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a VDC Specialist supporting our civil engineering disciplines. This role will primarily focus on managing Autodesk Civil 3D software, Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows, Revit collaboration, training, and related responsibilities to ensure efficient and standardized workflows within the civil engineering department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Providing expert support in the setup, installation, and troubleshooting of Civil 3D software. This includes:
  • Testing and evaluating new software releases and features to optimize performance.
  • Configuring support file paths and profiles to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with IT and end-users to swiftly resolve any CAD software issues that may arise.
  1. Champion PEC CAD Standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and accuracy in all drafting activities:
    • Develop and maintain drafting standards and guidelines for compliance with industry practices and client expectations.
    • Update project templates to align with software updates, project needs, and organizational standards.
    • Provide training and support for team adherence to standards and template utilization.
    • Collaborate with teams to address drafting challenges and optimize workflows as needed.
  2. Efficiently manage Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for the Civil Engineering Department to enhance collaboration and streamline data management workflows.
  • Work with end-users to establish and maintain organized project structures within ACC, ensuring PEC folder structure is utilized and maintained.
  • Facilitate integration between Autodesk Civil 3D an ACC, enabling real-time data exchange and collaboration while maintaining data integrity.
  • Administer project setup and access controls, ensuring all project stakeholders have appropriate levels of access while maintaining data security.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D software and ACC platform, with a strong understanding of their functionalities and integration capabilities.
  • Experience in managing the ACC environments for Civil 3D projects, including organizing data, setting permissions, and facilitating collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize workflows within the Autodesk Civil 3D environment to enhance project efficiency.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and developing educational materials to support team members in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit software is recommended but not required.
  • Certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
