Starting Pay: $21.41 / Hour + $0.75 / Hour Shift Premium

Role: Final Painter (2nd Shift)

  1. Organize and identify transformer and subcomponents to be painted.
  2. Use of primer/paint/color as per BOM.
  3. Set-up and operate plural component or other paint equipment.
  4. Clean transformers and sub-assemblies prior to painting through use of sander and cloth. Wipe off as needed with cleaner or alcohol.
  5. Mark and protect areas not to be painted or coated.
  6. Apply complete finish coat per Work Instruction.
  7. Complete quality check of final paint finish to meet manufacturing procedures and rework/repaint if required.
  8. Remove masking and protection
  9. Move transformer and parts to and from paint booth as required.
  10. Clean and maintain workstation as required.
  11. Maintain paint system as required and notify supervisor and maintenance of any problem.
  12. Do proper paperwork to comply with any regulatory standards.
  13. Maintain all safety requirements.
  14. Assist with disassembly of transformer if required.
  15. Assist in AC assembly, LFH and Final Assembly as needed.
  16. Any related tasks as deemed necessary by supervision.

Requirements:

Basic:

  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values. (WEG Code of Ethics, 4th Edition)
  • Ability to work evening or night shift and limited over-time;
  • Able to work limited over-time on Saturdays and/or Sundays, if necessary;
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings;
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics and computations;
  • Ability to adhere to assigned schedule;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic English communications;
  • Resides or intends to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington, Missouri;
  • Has current work authorization for employment within the United States;
  • Must complete: Job interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Previous manufacturing experience;
