General Summary

The Women's Resource Center is seeking a full-time graduate assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year with the possibility of continuing through a second year. The Graduate Assistant must have earned a bachelor's degree. This person will work under the supervision of the WRC Program Coordinator. The GA will provide general programming and administrative support for The Women's Resource Center within the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The GA will focus on the implementation and management of WRC Welcome month and the Women's History Month Celebration. Other responsibilities include administrative support, event development and facilitation, managing student-led programs, fundraising, assessing WRC Program standards, and other duties as assigned by the WRC Program Coordinator and Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing and managing the campus-wide Peer Education Program
  • Conduct trainings on the topics of diversity, social justice, sexual violence prevention, and other topics as requested
  • Assist with the development of on-going WRC programs/projects (sexual violence prevention, leadership development initiatives, awareness month programming, etc.)
  • Work with Event Planning to coordinate logistics for events
  • Conduct benchmarking related to WRC initiatives
  • Fundraising for community partners, including SafeHouse and FirstStep
  • Assist with creating, disseminating, and analyzing program evaluations and assessments
  • Responsible for data entry of WRC programming into the Campus Labs database.
  • Maintain weekly office hours in accordance with your graduate assistantship requirements (20/wk)
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

The ability to work up to 20 hours per week (10 for 50%) is required.

A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.

Admission and enrollment in a graduate program is required.

Maintenance of a 67% course completion is required.

Enrollment in at least six credits for the Fall and Winter semesters is required.
