POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

· Works with marketing and ACE teams to determine need for new and revised training materials

· Creates, modifies, training materials including but not limited to all class documentation (Book, Presentation, etc.)

· Create, and deliver virtual and on-demand training content

· Deliver, and coordinate technical training to customers, distributors and MEAU personnel on the following products:

- PLC’s, Robot, HMI’s, Motion Control, VFD’s, Safety, CNC and MELCO developed networks

· Define content, duration, and schedule for custom on site and regionally based classes.

· Communicate with end-users (customers) to complete enrollment for training classes.

· Monitor, evaluate, and revise training programs as needed.

· Maintain technical documents and documentation on MEAU products, as assigned.

· Maintain training equipment, manuals and documents and documentation on MEAU products, as assigned.

· Train and audit third parties in the delivery of MEAU developed product training courses

· Maintain current knowledge of new products and applications, through self-study, hands-on testing of demo units, and seminar attendance.

· Identify, evaluate, and arrange for external training opportunities to include training of managerial, technical, and professional skills.

· Perform discovery with customers for custom class requests

· May be required to follow other job-related instructions and perform additional duties as assigned

Travel Requirements

· Up to 50% travel for training and application support, and to receive and deliver training in Vernon Hills, IL, other MEAU office locations, and customer sites throughout North America.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience

· 10+ years of application experience with industrial automation products

· Ability to develop & maintain in-depth, up-to-date technical knowledge, including the latest MEAU products

· Strong Technical writing skills

· Customer service and phone skills

· Ability to conduct technical training for groups

· Organization skills, i.e., for documents, demos, work area and time management

· Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products

BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Strong background in VFD, Servo/Motion Control, HMIs, PLCs and Networking

· Experience with PC hardware and software required with specific experience in industrial applications

· Experience in developing online training content

· Bilingual (English/Spanish)

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

· Must be physically able to travel, including the ability to:

- Sit for extended periods of time for the purposes of travel

- Operate a motor vehicle for both short and long distances

- Fly via commercial flights, both nationally and internationally as needed

· Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally for activities such as moving equipment to and from pallets

· Ability to move about the MEAU plant and other facilities with or without a reasonable accommodation

· Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to learn and master the use of MEAU IA equipment

· Ability to navigate and participate on a team and in a multi-department environment

· Ability to actively prioritize tasks with limited direction

· Flexible work style with the ability to navigate changing priorities
