Job Summary

Develop and present training courses in various technical subject matters for UGI personnel and outside (contractor, customers, installers, etc.) parties, as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop technical training programs by becoming thoroughly familiar with the subject material. Design and construct training aides, prepare hand-outs, arrange for classroom displays and all related materials.
  • Present training programs. Maximize training effectiveness through the proper mix of instruction, discussion, student participation and testing. Evaluate course effectiveness and revise accordingly.
  • Provide technical assistance to field personnel.
  • Provide field evaluations, training and/or testing as requested by Area management or codes requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with appropriate department contacts to stay current on new/revised procedures, materials and equipment being considered. Keep current with national, state and industry codes and procedures for use during training activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good public speaking ability.
  • Ability to organize programs.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Patience and endurance toward wide variety of student personalities.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years experience in all phases of field operations.
  • Attendance at various factory technical schools.
  • Various Licenses/Registrations, but not required.
  • Develop and present courses for all levels of technical hourly personnel from recent hires to Technician category; also, present programs for other sections/departments upon request e.g., CIC orientation, forklift for stores personnel, OSHA, safety programs, new engineers, marketing, and similar groups.
