About The Role:

As a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing Data Science at Dow Jones, you will use data to identify trends in subscription activity, both in terms of new subscriber acquisition and existing subscriber engagement. Reporting to VP of Marketing Analytics & Planning, you will work across our consumer brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch, transforming large dataset into actionable insights and performance-oriented dashboards. You will develop data-driven insights to inform marketing tactics, subscription strategy, and engagement efforts within the Dow Jones marketing organization.

You Will:

  • Reporting: Analyze and report on subscription data, measuring efficacy of marketing tactics, as well as the overall health of our subscription business and marketing campaigns.
  • Data Visualization: Create informative and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate insights to cross-functional teams, with tools such as Looker Studio and Tableau.
  • Insights: Find elegant ways to distill complex collections of metrics into streamlined visuals and insights.
  • Automation: Drive efficiency within the organization by automating complex reporting pipelines.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Summarize and present data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Partner closely with the finance team around the distribution and communication of key financial metrics.


You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business)
  • 2+ years working in a data analytics role, preferably in a consumer business.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Pay Range: $40,000 - $160,000
