Responsibilities

  • Assist the Global Account Leader for the Federal Civilian Practice with vision, strategic direction, planning and thought leadership
  • Support national conference activities and events.
  • Lead and participate in firm wide market sector activities
  • Manage client relations, specifically in the coordination of IDIQ management and responses
  • Serve as a thought leader for the firm in the industry
  • Maintain and grow contacts in this Federal Market sector
  • Manage specific and / or strategic projects in the FED civilian space as required

Marketing and Sales

  • Business development skills to manage complex teams and IDIQ contracts, identify opportunities, develop client relationships, understand client needs and develop customized innovative approaches to meet client needs, and develop winning pursuit strategies with regional market sector leaders.
  • Ability to lead proposal development and interviews to win work
  • Strong written and verbal skills to facilitate, communicate and present to multiple levels of industry audiences, clients, and internal staff.

Leadership & Management:

  • Assist the Global Account Lead with leadership and management of the Federal Civilian team nationwide, setting expectations and managing IDIQ response processes and ensuring proactive engagement.
  • Lead and be responsible for contractor performance assessment reporting system (CPARS) for the Civilian sector specific projects, leading the studios in setting expectations, and preemptively focusing on the sought-after ratings.
  • Manage the personnel needs to meet marketing requirements, recruit and retain staff
  • Act as a mentor for the Federal team by taking an active role the development of department personnel.
  • Address and enhance our design excellence approaches for the sector
  • Demonstrated success in a leadership role within the Federal market.
  • Engage in project delivery, design, planning and programming as a Project Executive to ensure highest quality




  • Bachelor’s degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in a business development or leadership position within the design industry, primarily focused on the Federal market.
  • Ability to travel
  • Significant leadership and experience across large, multi-office, multi-disciplinary programs.
  • Successful candidate will have direct experience with Federal civilian focused accounts
  • Recent Design Build experience within the Federal market
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to support, facilitate, lead, and motivate others through influence and respect
  • High performer with proven entrepreneurial skillsets

Salary range for this position varies between 135,000 - 165,000, depending upon applicable experience.
