Postdoctoral position in computational chemistry and computational biophysics, University of Pittsburgh

Interested applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral associate position in Prof. Junmei Wang’s research group in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Pittsburgh. The research focus in Wang’s group is to develop novel computational methods to boost the success rate of rational drug design in the era of artificial intelligence. The postdoctoral associate is expected to (1) develop novel scoring functions to achieve biased-ligand design, i.e., the designed ligands can fulfill a certain biological function; (2) perform generative modeling for GPCR drug targets incorporating the developed scoring function in (1). A qualified candidate is expected to (1) have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field; (2) have expertise in structure-based drug design; (3) have experience in applying machine-learning and deep-learning to computer-aided drug design; and (4) have programming skills using Python.
