Senior Draftsperson/Technical Documentation Analyst

Position Description
Join our CGI team in a dynamic environment supporting the US Army customer in developing and updating military technical drawings using applicable military and industry standards. Requires experience using CAD drafting software to include 3D modeling software. Candidate must be motivated and able to shift priorities as customer requirements change. Must be able to work with a variety of project office customers.

This position is located in our Huntsville, AL office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Review, develop and update military technical drawings using applicable military and industry standards to include ASME-Y14.5, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34, ASME Y14.35, ASME Y14.100 and MIL-STD-31000.
2. Document drawing deficiencies and effectively communicate requirements to customers as necessary.
4. Incorporate Engineering Change Proposals written against a variety of Aviation and Missile system technical drawings.
5. Develop and/or update technical drawings/models using AutoCAD, Microstation Connect, Microstation, Solidworks.
6. Develop 3D model files from 2D documentation and/or actual equipment.
7. Produce accurate and compliant 2D documentation from 3D model files.
8. Participate in physical and functional audits of test equipment hardware.
9. Experience using Windchill environment is plus.
10. Communicate with customers and coworkers to resolve issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must have an interim Secret security clearance to start
Experience using CAD drafting software such as Microstation, Autocad, ProE (Creo), Inventor, or Solidworks.
At least 17 years of CAD drafting experience, to include at least 3 years Solidworks experience in mechanical applications of Solidworks.
Familiarity with military and industry standards to include ASME-Y14.5, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34, ASME Y14.35, ASME Y14.100 and MIL-STD-31000.
Autocad, Microstation, IRAS\b, MEARS (Multi-User ECP Automated Review System), ICAPP (Interactive Configuration and Procurement Program), EDIS (Electronic Data Information System), Microsoft Office
Experience leading small projects.
Solidworks Certification (CSWP or CSWA)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $60,300.00 - $133,500.00.
