Solutions Consultant - Military veterans preferred

The Opportunity: Mersive is seeking a Solutions Consultant to join our fast-paced sales team. We’re looking for a qualified leader with demonstrated experience taking a holistic, strategic approach to high-volume sales.

Roles and Responsibilities

Analyze customer requirements to understand how Mersive solutions can be applied to meet needs and solve problems through product demonstrations, in-person and remote, to a variety of audiences both technical and non-technical

Coordinates with Inside Sales, Regional Sales Directors and Outsourced Manufacturer Sales Rep s

to schedule and conduct demos for qualified leads

Stay current with the competitive landscape in order to best position Mersive solutions in the marketplace

Keep key channel/strategic partners up to date on product initiatives and/or roadmap

Provides interactive field training for end users and channel partners

Work with the Mersive management team to complete value-add initiatives as they arise, including involvement in Product Management, Quality Assurance and Marketing initiatives as needed

Provides technical knowledge during the sales process, assisting all members of the sales team

Provides technical guidance and expertise during preliminary design consultations in the initial stages of the sales process

Required Qualifications/Experience

4-5 years B2B pre- and post-sales experience with software and/or hardware products

Understanding and the ability to articulate IT/networking concepts – TCP/UDP routing, DNS, WLAN, VLAN, proxies, etc.

Understanding and the ability to articulate security protocols and best practices – firewalls, TLS, certificate management

Ability to write/articulate technical concepts clearly and accurately

30-50% travel as needed

Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to technical/non-technical audiences

Exceptional Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision balanced with willingness to follow specific direction when required.

Ability to work remotely from a home office

Desired Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field

Experience with AV/IT Convergence Products (industry experience)

General knowledge of agile software development at a conceptual level

Experience with Python, or similar scripting languages, a plus

Subscription/SaaS sales
