Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Radiology Technician II Lead, you will  perform supervisor duties of scheduling, coordinating work loads, assignment of personnel, oversees all areas of the department for completion of daily work requirements, performs exams as indicated by the policy and procedures manual, makes recommendations to the Clinical Manager or Director on changes in protocols, policies and/or procedures, and addresses personnel performance improvement. Assures that all exams are complete while acting as a resource to staff at all times. Performs QA/QC procedures when necessary. Directs staff to complete work assignments and promotes teamwork. Acts as interim manager in the absence of the Clinical Manager and/or Director.

What You Will Do In This Role:

* Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic  exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.

* Leadership: Accepts accountability for successful department operations and its integration into the hospital.

* Teamwork: Establishes clear objectives and goals for work team.

* Have participated in or initiated a QI, QC, QA project with documented outcomes.

* Responsible for proper use of Radiology Information System. Understands and uses CR/PACS systems.

* Coordinates work schedule with Departmental Director and/or scheduling desk to assure workload coverage.

* Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available.

*Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrates competency.

* Conduct scheduling and coordination of work flow for the work area or shift.

* Other tasks as assigned.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

* Graduate from an accredited Radiography program or equivalent.

* MRT in State of Texas, ARRT, and BLS required.

* Three years experience preferred.
