SEEKING CERTIFIED CNA WITH RESTORATIVE NURSING EXPERIENCE.JOB SUMMARYThe Restorative Aide assists residents with follow up maintenance of rehabilitation services including, but not limited to, mobility, personal hygiene and feeding. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a High school diploma/GEDSatisfactory completion of an approved nurse aide training program and testing, as required by the stateMust be in good standing with the Nurse Aide RegistryAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to read, write and follow oral and written instructions1 -3 years nursing assistance experienceDemonstrate the ability to successfully perform rehabilitation servicesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis list is subject to individual facility policies, procedures and practices, which may require additional duties and responsibilities. Provides personal care to residents. Duties include but are not limited to:personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, ambulating and transferring, etcMaintains resident and work areas in a clean, orderly and safe mannerAssists residents with preventative, therapeutic and restorative procedures:performing range of motion and/or application of assistive devices or appliancesAssists with maintenance of resident bowel and bladder programsAdheres to safety and infection control policies and procedures according toStandard PrecautionsCompletes required documentation; e.g. intakes and outputs, flow sheetsReports changes in resident conditions, accidents or incidentsSupports and assists Activities Services; e.g. transporting residents to and from activities, informing staff of known resident interests, seeing that residents have activities to occupy themReports defective equipment or other potential safety hazardsWorks with residents, families, members of the health care team and otheremployees in a pleasant, respectful, cooperative mannerAttends inservice programs as required by facility and state/federal guidelinesRespects and maintains resident's dignity, individuality, privacy andconfidentiality and knowledge of Residents' Bill of RightsPromotes positive public relations for the facilityProvides rehabilitative services to maintain and restore resident's maximumachievable self-care ability (i.e. ambulation, range of motion exercises, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, positioning and strengthening exercises)Participates in resident care conferences as requestedInstructs nursing personnel on recommended maintenance procedures that are performed when a resident is discharged from restorative programConducts exercise programPerforms weight checks, using various weighing devicesPerforms other duties as assigned
