To be a key Leader in the manufacturing organisation. To develop and maintain a healthy, high performing team, which executes the strategic plan to consistently deliver high quality products in a compliant, efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst continuously driving step-change improvements.

  • Become a process or functional expert and serve as a technical resource and coach for the team.
  • Ensure the consistent attainment of company standards:
    • cGMP – right first-time execution of activities, accurate data, timely close out of DRs/CCs/CAPAs, aseptic practice, appropriate housekeeping standards.
    • HR – recruitment, attendance/absence, disciplinary, grievance, administrative procedures.
    • HSE – to work in a safe manner in compliance with all pertinent UK legislation, Seqirus mandatory policies, guidelines and site procedures for HSE, safety management / behavioural safety culture.
    • Finance – purchasing, budgeting, cost centre management.
    • Integrity and compliance and information security.
  • Develop and maintain team members development, training programmes and SOPs.
  • Development and performance management of team members to business standards and deadlines.
  • Development and RFT execution of management reporting e.g., Production batch records, preparation of production variance reports.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy, high performing team including:
    • Driving team objectives, direction and priorities.
    • Ensuring day-to-day ways of working that reflect RFT and continuous improvement IQP approaches.
    • Achieving effective two-way communication with team members.
    • Coordinating and facilitating team decision making.
  •  Drive technical / functional problem solving.
  • Establish standards and resourcing requirements to meet production or service provision needs.
  • Scheduling production services activities as well as coordinating equipment / systems / processes maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through IQP methodologies to reduce operating costs / increase value for money.

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent experience (manufacturing, engineering, scientific degree).
  • Manufacturing / production or support function experience preferably in high speed, aseptic, Pharmaceuticals and egg processing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP and FDA requirements.
  • Proven track record in:
    • Management of healthy, high performing teams.
    • Continuous improvement (IQP preferable).
    • Short- and long-term results focused.
    • Analytical and conceptual thinking.
    • Problem solving and root cause analysis.
    • Numerate.
    • Strong communicator / team coaching ability.
