Responsibilities:
- Works from mechanical drawings to layout material
- Setup various machine tools to drill, ream, tap, bore, turn, grind, mill, shape, or form
- Determine the sequence of operations required
- Carries out each operation on machines required from rough to finish
- Performs hand-finish operations
- Layout work for machines
- Perform inventory counts as required
- Supports/maintains a safe work environment
Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machinist
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Mathematical skills and analytical abilities
- Experience in utilizing tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.)
- Team player with a commitment to quality
- Ability to utilize precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
- Mechanical skills and proficient math
- Must be able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds
- Available to work overtime
