Responsibilities:

  • Works from mechanical drawings to layout material
  • Setup various machine tools to drill, ream, tap, bore, turn, grind, mill, shape, or form
  • Determine the sequence of operations required
  • Carries out each operation on machines required from rough to finish
  • Performs hand-finish operations
  • Layout work for machines
  • Perform inventory counts as required
  • Supports/maintains a safe work environment

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machinist
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Mathematical skills and analytical abilities
  • Experience in utilizing tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.)
  • Team player with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to utilize precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
  • Mechanical skills and proficient math
  • Must be able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds
  • Available to work overtime
