SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Engineering Technician III - Imaging.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer in support of Submarine Electronics. A background in Radio Frequency (RF) or Submarine Electronic Warfare (EW) systems is a plus. The ideal candidate is expected to be able to familiarize themselves with all EW system hardware including understanding commonality between the various systems. This role will require some overnight travel, estimated 10% in a given year.

Core Responsibilities:

Submarine Imaging and Electronic Warfare (EW) with BLQ-10 experience to include system design and interfaces

material procurement

material pre-fabrication

installation management

system and component level testing (including Radio Frequency (RF)

quality assurance

post-installation technical support for all submarine ship class configurations.

Qualifications:

Education: A Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering isrecommended. Inlieu of educational criteria, significant technical work experience such asactive-duty military or prior work in this area is acceptable.

Experience: Experience with AN/BVY-1 (V) Imaging Naval Imaging systems and/or AN/BLQ-10 a plus.

Desired Skills:

  • A strong background with electrical and electronic equipment and components with the ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.
  • Must be able to useO-scope/Digital Voltmeter.
  • Softwareexperience with Linux, C++, Oracle, JAVA, & HTML a plus.
  • Experience withFiber Optic a plus.
  • Individual should be able to work in a fast pacedenvironment and well versed in Microsoft Office Suite Software.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP's) and Engineering Change Instructions (ECI's) as they relate to the Submarine EW systems and perform the necessary maintenance, test, repair, modification, and updating of shipboard equipment and components per GFI drawings as called out in the ECP/ECI's.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of NEWCON and MODERNIZATION type programs providing GFI packages and understand aspects of conducting various type of ship-checks along with submission of Liaison Action Requests (LARs) for correction or adjustment to the Ship Installation Drawings (SID).
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required on the date of hire.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
