Basic requirements:

Provide waterfront engineering services to support the accomplishment of intermediate and depot level maintenance aboard 726 Ohio class submarines and an occasional 774 Virginia or 21 Seawolf class submarine. Support efforts focus on hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) systems/components, including main propulsion, main and aux seawater, trim and drain, hovering, ships service and external hydraulics, steam systems, ship control systems, and ships structure. Provide technical direction and support for the accomplishment of continued Unrestricted Operations (URO) to design test depth, provide problem resolution (troubleshooting & fault isolation), test direction and recertification, and related technical support for non-nuclear submarine systems/equipment repair and maintenance actions. Liaison with TRF-KB Management, NAVSEA, SUBMEPP, COMSUBLANT, Navy Shipyards, and Planning Yards on the resolution of complex problems associated with 726 Ohio class submarine maintenance and repair. Liaison with Planning Yard on the development of the 776 Columbia class submarine in preparation for the maintenance support.

Education requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.
