Overview:
The Maintenance Technician – Laundry is responsible for servicing/repairing and maintaining the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as the physical features of the laundry equipment while maintaining a safe and friendly environment. Provide general maintenance and cleaning of the laundry, facility and equipment.
$17-$22/hour!
Shift starts at 4:30pm
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Preventative Maintenance Tech or similar skilled trade
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
Knowledge of hand and power tools and a mechanical aptitude.
Strong knowledge of pumps, electric motors, electrical circuits, mechanical drive systems, gas and steam operated systems and belt drive equipment.
Must meet the requirements to receive a company driving permit.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow written instructions.
Essential Functions:

Efficiently, accurately, and courteously complete service calls as assigned, contacting laundry attendant within 5 minutes of request.
Complete all assigned work orders daily.
Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.
Maintain boilers and pumps daily.
Clean up surrounding area upon completion of maintenance.
Accurately fill out a daily Engineering report.
Efficiently replace air filters on AC units on a regular basis.
Perform preventive maintenance on laundry equipment per standard checklist or as requested by the Director of Laundry; maintain all maintenance records.
Repair and maintain laundry carts.
Efficiently operate small hand tools such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.
Use safety equipment such as goggles, aprons, gloves, respirators, or dust mask.
Efficiently and safely operate machinery such as drills, grinders, Sawzall, welding machine and band saw.
Learn and develop in position to gain additional skills for keeping equipment in good repair.
Understand and apply basic electricity, plumbing and carpentry to efficiently repair laundry equipment.
Accurately and efficiently handle test equipment, hand tools, etc.
