Job Summary
The Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a full-time clinical assistant professor position in Educational Psychology. The appointment is a nine-month appointment, effective August 15, 2024. The position is in the Clinical Title Series, non-tenure eligible, but does provide eligibility for promotion. Salary, fringe benefits, and initial operating support are competitive with other leading land-grant universities.

Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. degree in Educational Psychology or related field. Successful applicants will provide a record of inclusive teaching practices and high-quality teaching at the graduate level.

Responsibilities include the delivery of high-quality experiential learning and teaching to graduate
students, the pursuit of a vigorous research program, and service and outreach to the college, university, and profession. The initial distribution of effort (DOE) will be 75% teaching (approximately 3 courses each semester), 10% research, and 15% service.

Clinical faculty members in the Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology are highly valued, significantly contribute to clinical training and experiential learning within the program, and serve in important leadership roles within the department. Opportunities for promotion without tenure are available for full-time clinical faculty members. Additional responsibilities may include participating in curriculum assessment and development, contributing to program administration, and providing service to community and professional organizations.
