Job Summary

This position will work with the Heritage Commission/Middle East Programs. IIE’s Middle East Programs Department is responsible for the development and implementation of a portfolio of programs in the Middle East and North Africa region. Each of these programs is unique in nature where IIE, in collaboration with partners which include Govts., universities and other organizations, develops a vision and scope for each program that ranges from international student recruitment, administration of student scholarships and exchange programs, to training of professionals in various fields.

The Program Analyst helps in the management of the Heritage Commission Program for capacity development and training in Saudi Arabia. The Program Analyst contributes to multiple aspects of the program lifecycle including the design and implementation of a capacity building program. This includes serving as the first point of contact for team members, contractors, and business partners. The Program Analyst participates in the design of training programs, identifying trainers, university/organizational partners, and the administration of these trainings including securing venues, and the overall logistics of the event.

The Program Analyst will work with others and manage study tours and delegations in the US and the GCC region, from identifying potential partners to managing events and trips logistics. Additionally, the Analyst will assist in the execution of the programmatic deliverables and contributing to comprehensive program reports and presentations and tracking payments to vendors. The Program Analyst will join a team with a Program Analyst and a Program Manager.


Essential Functions:

• Works with Program Manager in the planning and implementation of all aspects of the program lifecycle components such as event management, training material production, external payment tracking, travel arrangements, and reporting.
• Supports the developed nomination process to identify outstanding emerging leaders, senior managers, and technical experts within the Heritage Commission staff to participate in the trainings.
• Leverages IIE and Consultants’ networks in higher education and cultural organizations to identify trainers, partner universities and cultural organizations and institutions for training activities.
• Organizes training events, study tours, and delegation visits, and assists with procurement and liaises with external partners, consultants, and clients. Processes and tracks payments for external vendors, consultants, and training contributors.
• Oversee the contracting process for external vendors, consultants, and training contributors. Liaise with IIE departments including Finance and Grants & Contracts.
• Monitors, tracks, and reports training participants’ progress and outcomes of the trainings.
• Provides full event management, working closely with the Heritage Commission to secure a venue and manage events’ logistics and make necessary travel arrangements. This will require some travel to training sites in Saudi Arabia and the US.
• Contribute to the development of program training materials and providing editing and formatting support.
• Responsible for communicating with university partners and/or third-party vendors and the managing of the procurement and contracting processes to deliver the program deliverables.
• Assists in tracking program budget and spending and to ensuring payments to partners.
• Collects program data from internal and external stakeholders to produce program reports and presentations.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:
• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related work experience, or combination education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of global scholarship and grant-making work.
• Strong interest and ability to work across a range of programs with different requirements.
• Intercultural competence and ability to manage grantee challenges and emergencies.
• Demonstrated project management, time management, and administrative skills and ability to liaise with numerous IIE departments, client stakeholders, and external partners and vendors.
• Strong interest and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact with all levels of team members and partners.
• Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters.

Salary Range:$60,547 - $70,386. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
