Description:

The Tenax King Air Pilot is a vital member of the team responsible for supporting multiple programs. Must be able to operate independently in various CONUS locations. Operations will be in accordance with program and customer standards. The King Air Pilot contributes as a team member to maintain safe aircraft availability and professionally interfaces with customer representatives.

Essential Functions

  • Pilots aircraft as Pilot-In-Command in support of multiple programs in modified special mission aircraft
  • Must be able to operate a King Air 200 in all weather conditions, single pilot. Ideally, be appropriately rated to operate a King Air 350 single pilot
  • Performs precise aerial flight operations driven by customer requirements
  • Must be able to successfully complete bi-annual training in accordance with Part 135 standards.
  • Performs functional check flights
  • Performs command pilot functions with technical operator crew and as required, other Tenax pilots
  • Ensures the aircraft is operated in accordance with aircraft manufacturer’s requirements, flight manuals, directives, company policies and specific mission procedures
  • Assists as necessary in the responsibilities for aircraft upkeep, scheduling, safety management and fueling operations
  • Conducts pre-flight and post-flight inspections and related briefings
  • Contributes to the overall success of the program by supporting customer needs and executing duties efficiently and effectively

Schedule

Our operations are dynamic, and driven by our customer requirements. Flexibility is critical and the ability to adapt to change will determine your success in this position. We strive to provide as much notice as possible for our flights however, notice can be limited based on the customer needs. We will always provide at least 24 hour notice for a trip.

Supervisory Responsibility

None in the beginning however, this position has significant opportunity for growth and increased responsibility.

Work Environment

This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel and deployment to CONUS duty locations is required. Lodging and travel expenses will be covered by Tenax. Relocation is not required.

Compensation

This position pays a base salary, plus bonus, and a generous benefits package. All expenses are reimbursed while on the road.



Position Requirements Level:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current FAA Multi-Engine Commercial pilot license with Instrument Rating
  • FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Beechcraft King Air 350 type rating, preferably with single pilot privileges
  • Required Flight time experience:
    • Total time – 2,500
    • 1,200 hours PIC of which 200 must be in the class and category to be flown
    • 500 hours cross country
    • Minimum 50 hours instrument - inflight, 75 hours actual/simulated
    • Minimum 200 PIC night hours
    • At least 25 hours in make and model
    • 100 hours fixed wing in the preceding 12 months (preferred)
    • 10 hours in make and model in preceding 12 months (preferred)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to complete training, drug testing, and, as needed, a medical examination in accordance with program requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • ATP Certificate
  • Prior US Government operational flight experience to include support of fire containment or airborne data collection missions
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Secret level or higher security clearance
