What You Get to Do

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly regulatory inspections of the hazardous waste facility, collection sites, UST/AST, oil/grease containers, generators, and any other potential pollution source
  • Complete regulatory monthly sampling and reporting
  • Collect environmental data and enter into excel and other software
  • Conduct park environmental training
  • Assist with the development of EHS projects
  • Participate in EHS inspections throughout the park to ensure that all departments are in compliance with company, local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Develop corrective action plans and ensure completion
  • Attend department meetings and general EHS sensitive meetings
  • Conduct work required to maintain the hazardous waste facility and satellite accumulation sites
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What It Takes to Succeed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years EHS related experience or 2 years related subject college credit or 2 years theme park experience
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 50 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, wear a respirator, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors with relative humidity up to 100%
  • Strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in a team environment, and work independently
  • Ability to present to large groups
  • Working knowledge of computers and applicable software i.e., Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable with heights
  • Comfortable with exposure to noise, vibrations, and motion
  • Ability to train on and safely use protective gear
  • Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
  • Comfortable working around chemicals
  • Comfortable with handling a small marine vessel
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
  • Flexible work schedule required - available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays


What Else Is Important
  • Pursuing degree in an environmental field or recognized professional credential preferred
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations preferred
  • Training in hazardous waste management, accumulation, and transportation preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot, or maintain/repair scientific equipment preferred
  • Theme park experience preferred
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred


Compensation:
  • 21.00 per hour
