Job Summary: The Proposal Manager will be responsible for leading the development and submission of high-quality proposals. This role involves coordinating with multiple teams, understanding client needs, and ensuring that proposals meet all requirements and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal writing and project management, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail. Responsibilities: + Lead and manage the proposal development process from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. + Analyze RFPs (Requests for Proposal), RFIs (Requests for Information), and other solicitation documents to understand and respond to client requirements. + Develop and maintain a proposal calendar, tracking all proposals in progress and ensuring timely submission. + Work closely with technical, sales, and marketing teams to gather necessary information and ensure that proposals are comprehensive, competitive, and compelling. + Write, edit, and review proposal content, ensuring clarity, compliance, and a persuasive narrative. + Manage the creation of supporting materials such as presentations, diagrams, and appendices. + Facilitate proposal reviews and revisions, incorporating feedback from team members and stakeholders. + Maintain a library of proposal templates, documents, and responses for future use. + Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential client needs to continually improve proposal quality and success rates. + Train and mentor junior staff in proposal development processes and best practices. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, English, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management or a similar role, preferably within the federal civilian agencies. + Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines. + Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software. + Knowledge of the sales process and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams. + Ability to analyze complex documents and requirements with a strategic approach to problem-solving. + Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve common goals.
