This is a senior management position that supervises a des i gn staff . The position may be at a single location or may have multiple location responsibilities .

Pay Range: $72,000 - $95,000 annually

Essential Job Duties:

  • Oversees the daily operation of a des i gn group for manufacturing.
  • Schedules des i gner assignments.
  • Reviews submitted plans from customers to determine if all needed information is available prior to work progressing to the des i gn group.
  • Reviews completed des i gns to insure des i gn integrity and code compliance.
  • Conducts employee reviews and other HR functions.
  • Works with staff Professional Engineers or MiTek Engineers regarding code compliance.
  • Conducts employee training as it relates to the des i gn department.
  • Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by company management.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum education required BS or BA in des i gn, engineering, or architecture. Experience may be substituted for education
  • Minimum experience required -5 years as a manufacturing des i gner in the building materials industry
  • Special skills /knowledge required -Full understanding of industry standard des i gn software and ability to read and interpret blueprints. Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Other - Computer and des i gn software literate.
  • Physical demands include standing and walking, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds repetitively.
