Description:

Summary/Objective: Effectively Set-Up & Operate CNC Lathes with Fanuc controllers while safely following quality requirement and production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Competently perform Set Ups and operation of CNC Lathes with and without live tooling.
  • Read and follow job router, set-up sheet and work instructions.
  • Correctly load and unload materials and parts into collets and chucks.
  • Measure and document as required inspection data to assure part compliance.
  • Read and interpret blueprint dimensions, symbols, and notes.
  • Document counts.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain work area.
  • Communicate with Engineering on issues, needs, and improvements.
Competencies:
  • 5 or more years setting up and operating CNC Lathes
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of machine and controller functions
  • Excellent knowledge of machining principles
  • Commanding knowledge of GD&T and applications
  • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Advanced mathematical and geometrical knowledge
  • Good communicator with the ability to listen, ask questions, and provide solutions
  • Ability to work extra hours when needed
  • Self-Motivated
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong Work Ethic
  • Familiar with AS9100 Standards
  • High school diploma / GED
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand for long periods of time, walk and reach. The ability to lift products and supplies, up to 40 pounds. May be subject to cutting fluids, lubricants, metal chips and moderate noises.
