Responsibilities:
The Sports Communication BA degree program in the College of Communication at DePaul University invites expressions of interest for part-time faculty teaching opportunities for undergraduate sports media/sports journalism classes. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview for availability for Autumn Quarter 2024 and/or Winter Quarter 2025.
Opportunities are usually Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 2 times per week for the 10-week quarter for two 90-minute sessions usually meeting 10:10-11:40 a.m., 11:50-1:20, or 1:30-3 p.m. in the Loop. (Autumn quarter is usually September-November, winter quarter January-March.)

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or bachelor's degree plus significant experience (5 years) in sports media desired.
The candidate must have demonstrated professional experience and success in the sports industry, plus experience in working and teaching in diverse learning environments and/or mentoring young journalists or media workers on project work based with constructive feedback. Commitment to professional development and helping develop students as media professionals requested.
Classroom teaching experience highly desired.
