Position Description

Dawson Construction, LLC is hiring traffic control Flagger positions for work in Ketchikan, Alaska. Applicants should be already located in Ketchikan and willing to work in a “Safety First” work environment as safety is our top priority. POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Civil team, the Flagger will safely guide or control vehicular or pedestrian traffic in places like streets or construction sites.

Position Requirements

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to pass a flagger certification class.
  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Able to maintain a valid Driver’s License and operate non-CDL vehicles in a safe and professional manner
  • Understands and adheres to safety and quality control requirements.
  • Any combination of education & experience that demonstrates the knowledge & ability to perform the work.
  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work.
  • Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing, use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
