Business Development Assistant Position Summary:
Support Business Development team in the daily performance of duties, including support of prospecting activity and servicing of client relationships.

Business Development Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Track business development efforts for BDO's through CRM and weekly pipeline reports
  • Maintain CRM Database, updating as necessary
  • Maintain tickler system to ensure client meetings are routinely scheduled
  • Schedule meetings, coordinating schedules with clients and other CCT professionals, and confirm meetings 24 hours in advance
  • Arrange travel for prospect and client meetings
  • Research potential prospects through use of public and private media (or other sources as appropriate)
  • Prepare documentation and provide overall support to clients applying for third-party collateralized line of credit programs; interfacing with bank providers and serving as an internal resource/junior subject matter expert
  • Prepare monthly analytical reports, materials for client meetings and other maintenance reports for clients
  • Analyze prospect statements through use of FactSet and Morningstar and prepares presentation material for prospect meetings
  • Order, prepare and maintain marketing materials
  • Act as primary liaison with Marketing for event planning
  • Help plan and orchestrate small business development events
  • Develop correspondence database for solicitation and follow-up to clients and prospects

Provide effective, confidential administrative support including:
  • Answering telephones
  • Preparing and maintaining client files
  • Preparing and submitting expense reports
  • Preparing correspondence for prospects and clients

  • Provide occasional back-up support to other administrative positions within the firm
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients; respond to their requests and work with them to resolve issues and meet their needs
  • Maintain files, prepare client review materials, copies, scans and faxes
  • Organize documents and correspondence in client files

Business Development Assistant Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years supporting a client facing professional services or sales focused organizations highly desired.
  • Prior finance, banking, or wealth management experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated highly effective written and oral communication skills.

Business Development Assistant Skills & Abilities:

  • Attention to Detail: Thorough, systematic, and methodical in the support of the Business Development team with strong follow-through on outstanding and critical items. Ability to understand and handle confidential information appropriately.

  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to various changes within the department or client needs related to assignments by being proactive and thinking creatively.

  • Customer Orientation: Gives the highest priority to internal and external customer satisfaction in individual actions. Ensures response to customer needs with empathy; taking proactive steps to anticipate customer needs

  • Planning & Organization: The ability to devise to handle multiple priorities and devise a course of action for themselves and others to accomplish a specific goal while managing time and resources to meet deadlines and expectations.

  • Relationship Building: The capacity to comprehend and engage in building effective relationships with all levels of the organization and with clients.
