Position Title: Manufacturing Engineering Analyst

FLSA Status: Salaried

POSITION SUMMARY

This role exists to help drive process rigor in our daily operations. There is a designated Analyst for each shift that will monitor machines, process, downtime, and other analytics required to ensure optimal efficiency. The goal of this role is to document data, trends and collaborate with the factory on potential trouble shooting options. Processes on our equipment should be predictable and require our workforce to understand how to address issues. Help drive standard KPIs and other metrics across manufacturing.

Will consider candidates in their final year of school, provided that they are able to work full time schedule for their selected shift.

All Shifts Available:

First Shift - 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Second Shift – 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Third Shift – 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Overtime and weekends (Saturday/Sunday) may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for monitoring machine process and communicating issues to the factory floor for assigned shift.
  • Accountable for collecting shift data, analyzing, and compiling meaningful metrics for review. Partner with other shift Analysts to ensure consistency and accuracy between shifts. Drive analysis to root cause problem solving.
  • Bring a troubleshooting methodology to the factory floor-monitor parameters and consistently apply troubleshooting processes.
  • If control issues arise on a shift, be able to lead Supervisors, Leads, Techs and direct labor on next steps.
  • Assess and improve use of Mattec across manufacturing. Be the subject matter expert for Mattec
  • Create, publish, and clearly communicate dashboards to operations and other leadership.
  • Montior and report on downtime
  • Create training documents and SOPs on lessons learned, and standard practices. Be able to train personnel on SOPs.
  • Identify and improve CTQ parameters, downtime logs and other metrics that drive operations excellence.
  • Attend end of shift meetings, or other Operations Leadership meetings to present findings, learnings, and major issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICIATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in engineering or science & technology major. Will accept active students pursing degree in engineering or data sciences.
  • Must be willing to work an off shift in this role (1 Analyst each shift). This role is an entry level role that will provide someone an opportunity to move to multiple roles within Operations or Engineering
  • Strong analytical background formalized through course work or internships.
  • Ability to use databases, excel or other analytics tools to create robust dashboards,
  • Understanding of manufacturing, or manufacturing machine environment (down time, quality, maintenance), machine processing terminology
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally with indirect influence while delivering measurable results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the manufacturing facility.
  • Strong Microsoft 360 background included strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills-ability to troubleshoot in real time and assist the floor with challenges (go see the problem)
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse work force.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals in a diverse set of roles within a manufacturing plant.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read, right and verbally communicate in English to all levels of the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand for extended periods of time in an office/manufacturing environment. A moderate tolerance of loud noises from manufacturing equipment. Be able to wear required PPE. This role will work within a controlled environment but must be willing to be on the floor and assist with troubleshooting.
