As the GBS organisation continues to grow and accommodates more, we are expanding our services into new area where we start to provide accounting, reporting and control services to our JV partners. New team will be supporting one of our Joint Venture (JV) partners, operating one of the major offshore fields. The team would be completely ring-fenced and work together with representatives from the JV to provide end-to-end accounting, reporting and control services.

Tax Compliance Senior SME

In this role You will:

  • Coordinate timely delivery of market resident groups' and standalone companies' tax reports.
  • Independently contact relevant teams and provide support as necessary.
  • Collect inputs for tax reports and adjustment entries; conduct trend analyses periodically.
  • Regularly communicate with JV Tax team and business representatives for updates impacting JV members.
  • Responsible for partial exemption calculation and process, including liaising with business and tax advisors.
  • Prepare detailed answers to Tax Authority queries and support relevant advisors.
  • Maintain documentation, process maps, and seek opportunities for tax process improvements.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Financial Accounting
  • Proficiency in English is a requirement.
  • Comprehensive understanding of indirect taxes.
  • Experienced in tax compliance and reporting activities, including various tax types.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills, numeracy, and financial understanding.
  • Possesses process and project management expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adept at building effective relationships across organizations.
