The Plant Quality Supervisor will coordinate and supervise all Quality Assurance activities in Production and in Laboratory to assure exceptional quality product is delivered to the customer. Ensure Production Process output is in compliance with customer expectations. Responsible for quality related communication with customers. Responsible for Food Safety Management when food contact product is produced in the plant.

WHAT YOU WILL ENJOY DOING

 

Quality System

  • Serves as the backup for the Quality Manager for the completion of internal and external quality and/or food safety audits
  • Serves as the backup for the Quality Manager on monthly reporting of quality and food safety system data per documented corporate procedures locally as well as regionally as required

 

Quality Control

  • Ensure production compliance with all regulatory, internal and customer product and packaging specifications;
  • Ensure customer mandated compliance documents are issued (i.e. COAs, regulatory statements)
  • Responsible for plant quality control program including product measurement, testing, data collection and integrity and rework management
  • Responsible for performance of quality test equipment including internal and external calibration programs
  • Assists Production with testing and data analysis on product qualification (AQP)
  • Ensures the utilization of the document control systems including the use of controlled documents
  • Supports the documentation of supplier related quality issues per standard procedures

 

 

 

 

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serves as backup for the Quality Manager on the customer complaint process including application of proper RCA techniques and tools. Ensures customer complaints are captured in global/regional/local reporting systems

 

 

Laboratory Management

  • Ensures all personnel performing quality testing within the quality lab and on the production floor are trained and qualified
  • Leading the Team
    • Regularly scheduled quality staff meeting
    • Ensures team works together as efficiently as possible
    • Responsible for time and attendance tracking for the quality techs
    • Performs disciplinary actions for quality techs
    • Performs annual performance evaluations for quality techs
    • Assesses training needs of quality techs and ensures execution of training

 

What Makes You Great

Education/Experience:

  • Min 2 year Degree (Associates) in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with physical lab testing equipment, calipers, scales, digital height gauge and compression force testing equipment and with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required, preferably in manufacturing environment

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Computer literate in Excel, SPC software, Word
  • Basics statistics knowledge
  • Ability to work well with other departments
  • Able to handle multi-task environment with excellent organizational skills
