Maxar is currently seeking a hybrid Personnel and Industrial Security Representative to join our team in Westminster, CO. This position will support the Maxar Industrial Security and Personnel Security Office in support of US Government contracts for Collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities.

Personnel Security Responsibilities:

  • Support the Maxar Personnel Security Office and related programs for U.S. Government contracts
  • Provide a diverse range of administrative personnel security support functions (i.e. maintaining records, updating records and data entry, etc.).
  • Provide basic functions in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) , Scattered Castles, and TALON/SCT
  • Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities
  • Administer personnel security files
  • Coordinate additional security requirements such as, polygraphs and special access indoctrinations/debriefings
  • Assist with foreign travel, foreign contact and adverse information reporting
  • Conduct pre-travel and post-travel security briefings
  • Assist with program security inspections
  • Perform proofreading duties to include detecting omissions and errors in information submitted for processing and follow up with customer to obtain missing information
  • Collect information to facilitate the continuous evaluation program
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to customer requests for information or materials
  • Onboard new employees and ensure security documentation is complete

Industrial Security Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing classified visit requests
  • Act as primary document control custodian
  • Provide security centric security education and training
  • Provide support to the security incident program
  • Implement program security policy and procedure to include Security Operating Procedures (SOPs), security processes, security education and awareness program, etc.
  • Contribute to developing improved processes and protocol and implement new ideas with security management support

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with active Top Secret clearance and be willing and able to obtain SCI accesses
  • Must demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and the ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal and confidential case information. Must have broad understanding of the federal rules and regulations that encompasses the clearance process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with SIMS security tool is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of NISPOM, IC directives, and related security policy and procedures
  • 3+ years of security related experience in the discipline of Personnel Security
  • Experience using (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT), Scattered Castles, and TALON/SCT
  • Strong knowledge of the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system/familiarity with other U.S. Government systems to include DISS.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$23.44 - $39.06 hourly.
