SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - Military veterans preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION – Senior Electrical Engineer Goal of this Position To design and implement embedded systems, hardware, firmware and software for industrial design projects. Assist Test Engineering in developing test fixtures, designing and implementing design verification, product validation, and troubleshooting activities. Support manufacturing and test engineering in failure/root cause analyses. Work within the QM System guidelines to help Variosystems meet and exceed quality mandates and business growth objectives. Tasks and Responsibilities With ultimate ownership and accountability of complex engineering projects, planning, scheduling, executing programs, tracking and reporting progress to senior management Keeping abreast with new technologies and industry standards in several areas, including consumer electronics, healthcare, aerospace, power & energy, industrial automation, Working with the account sales teams, and per the strategic business directives, interact with customers, seek and translate requirements into business cases Working with internal/external customers as necessary to leverage key capabilities as needed for the project Analyzing and electrical circuits through simulation, mathematical analysis, systems interaction testing/analysis, creating and presenting technical reports to internal and external customers Proactively collaborate with Manufacturing Operations as required Working closely with QA department to ensure full adherence to Vario’s QMS Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience designing, verifying electronic circuits, systems integration and product validation High speed embedded platform design experience with a minimum of two released products Analog circuit design experience Familiarity with systems verification/validation including SW/HW test automation Self-motivated with a passion for solving problems Strong communication skills (verbal & written) Hands-on approach to problem solving Preferred Qualifications MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Familiarity with ISO 13485 Quality Management System
