Welding Engineer QA - Military veterans preferred

CTR Group is hiring a Welding Engineer QA for a Shipyard client in the Seattle, WA, area: Salary Range: $90K - $112K plus Bonus and Excellent Benefits. Relocation Compensation is Available. SUMMARY: Leading Ship Repair Company is seeking a Welding Engineer. The role assures production has the necessary Welding Procedures to proceed with welding on Commercial, Government, and Facilities contracts by analyzing the needs, developing documentation and publicizing the results for intended usage by the production welding departments. The successful candidate supervises hourly craft worker REQUIREMENTS: 4 year BS in related field, Minimum (3-6) years of experience in engineering, welding, NDE, and/or QC. NDT certification in accordance with ASNT or CWI certification is recommended. Must have experience in an industrial setting. Shipyard experience a plus but not required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, both oral and written for constant interaction with all departments and employee levels, and outside customers. Must be a well-organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter. Ability to read and comprehend work specifications, work orders, blueprints, contracts and technical publications. Must have working knowledge of shipyard production and administrative procedures, and government and industrial regulations. Must have the ability to use Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Access and database programs.
