This is a hybrid position, where the incumbent will have the opportunity to work from home 3-4 days per week; and work in our Honolulu office, or at a client site, 1-2 days per week.

What You Will be Doing:
As a Mechanical Engineer / Designer I/II at Interface, you will be taking ownership as a discipline leader on multiple projects. Your duties will include (but may not be limited to):
  • Engineering Team Leadership: Leading the engineering and design for an array of project types and sizes.
  • Team Management: Employee guidance, oversight, scheduling, task delegation and mentorship.
  • Project Management: Responsible for scope, schedule, budget, discipline coordination for assigned projects.
  • Client Management: Responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction and repeat business with assigned clients.
  • Project Financial Management: Responsible for project cost management, profitability, proposal writing, billing, and collections for all assigned projects.
To Qualify for Application:
The successful candidate should have:
  • BSME.
  • Live in or near Honolulu or relocating back home to Honolulu (i.e. prior resident).
  • 0 to 4 years' MEP consulting and building design experience.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Basic experience with HVAC load calculations and duct sizing.
  • Ability to perform multiple functions in a fluid multi-deadline operations tempo.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team orientated collaborative environment.
To Be Competitive for this Role:
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Hawaii local candidates or those with roots in Hawaii highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk® REVIT
  • PE / EIT
  • LEED accreditation, or interest in obtaining accreditation.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Highly competitive total compensation packages. The compensation range for this position is $60k-$85k annual.
