Who you are?
We are seeking an extroverted and contagiously positive attitude Community Specialist to join our team at the Shop. A talented networker, you have a natural ability to draw people out in a professional way. You enjoy anticipating the needs of others and finding opportunities to surpass their expectations. You seamlessly bring order and organization to every task and have the determination to see challenges through to successful conclusion. As part of the small staff, you are a team-player and strong communicator committed to The Shops success and growth and excited to learn and grow as we do. Like the entrepreneurs who co-work with us, the Community Specialist must be highly flexible, adept at multi-tasking, and able to take initiative quickly to resolve issues efficiently. The ideal Community Specialist will be plugged into the Salt Lake City entrepreneurial ecosystem and proactive in staying abreast of developments impacting creative professionals throughout The Shop and the greater community.

What youll be doing:
Confidently support leasing initiatives, tour and sell memberships, and develop sales strategies to maintain 100% occupancy rate
Identify prospect and member needs and responsively tailor offerings, follow-up throughout life-cycle of potential and actual member at all stages of their relationship to The Shop
Create a welcoming, engagingly positive environment and experience for members and guests
Engage members as first and last point of contact with The Shop
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve amenities and benefits, increase revenue, reduce expenses with continual focus on adding member value
Schedule and conduct tours to sell space and products to prospective members
Organize and maintain an effective CRM with ease
Oversee and ensure consistent agreement renewals
Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective targets
Facilitate and lead all outbound sales efforts from attending events as a representative of The Shop to cold calling prospective members
Provide regular reporting on sales efforts to leadership
Schedule and facilitate moves ins and move outs, member orientation activities, and new member onboarding
Build and maintain strong partnerships with different community organizations on a regular basis
Prepare and maintain membership agreements with attention to detail
Assist the curation and management of member programming, member and non-member bookings, event schedules, and the set up and breakdown of events
Assist in maintaining the physical space to its highest quality
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required :
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in coworking, hospitality, sales, customer service or events
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Management, Hospitality or a related field preferred
Unflappable multitasker who can navigate regular interruptions
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Warm, personable and approachable with a professional mindset
Collaborative, flexible and reliable team player
Self-starter who can work independently when needed
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to create defined processes with ease
An eye for detail that dovetails a passion for hospitality and providing a world-class experience
Affinity for understanding and anticipating member needs
Strong with technology and social media, trouble-shooting across various devices and platforms
Passion for entrepreneurialism, networking and community building
Computer proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Office
Relentless approach to problem solving
Physical Demands:
This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
May involve moving or lifting items at or about 40 pounds.
Work Hour Requirements:
The standard Community Specialist shifts are from 8:30 am to 5:00 PM, Monday Friday, but flexibility to cover periodic evening events which usually end no later than 8 PM is required. In addition,
Community Specialist must have flexibility to work occasional weekend shifts for event coverage.
