Overview

The Solution Architect ll core focus is a sustainable technical architecture, and the role is responsible for the design of one or more end to end solutions, a product or a business or IT service. Works closely with cross functional business and technical teams. The individual has a balanced mix of technical and very strong business skills, working with an enterprise architect for strategic direction. The individual leads the overall technical vision for a particular platform (across all modules) or solution(s) to provide a business product or a business/IT service. The individual can make technical decisions regarding a solution, and how the technology design impacts business outcomes. The development or infrastructure teams use the information to implement the solution to meet business outcomes. The individual has very strong Director level leadership and behavior competencies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead large scale Digital Experience implementations with the Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets) providing both oversight, architecture and hands on contributions to the software design, development and integration.
  • Participate in the development of conceptual and logical architectures with packaged software and cloud native technologies
  • Provide deep knowledge expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (preferred) or similar CMS/DAM and working knowledge of at least one other Adobe Marketing Cloud products (Target, Analytics, Audience Manager, AEP, Campaign, Magento)
  • Experience with headless CMS implementation, preferably with eCommerce
  • Experience integrating personalization and A/B testing into the end user experience
  • Provide strong leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate product team meetings effectively and to deliver constructive feedback to development teams
  • Independently lead the estimation effort for product development
  • Lead an offshore or remote Agile based development team(s) and perform code reviews, coaching and best practice guidance to developers
  • Defining/designing/implementing the development architecture leveraging CI/CD principles


Specialized Skills and Technologies

  • Experience in application architecture / enterprise architecture, systems integration and development, and package implementation with knowledge of interactive design
  • Experience in multiple front-end web technologies including: HTML/5, CSS, JavaScript, React.js
  • Experience with one or more back end/server-side technologies including: SOAP/REST, SQL/NoSQL databases, ESB, and Microservices
  • Experience with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, Eclipse
  • Experience working with other relevant WCM or ecommerce packaged solutions such as SDL Tridion, Acquia/Drupal, Sitecore, EpiServer, SalesForce, SAP hybris, and ElasticPath
  • Working knowledge of multiple web and application tier technologies: Tomcat, Apache Http, Solr, open source packages, Content Delivery Networks
  • Experience with project automation technologies including: Jenkins, Continuum, Hudson, automated unit testing, Maven, SonarCube, Selenium, Jira, and GitHub


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in application architecture and Java/J2EE software development
  • 3+ years of experience implementing Adobe Experience Manager solutions (Sites, Assets) or similar CMS/DAM. Cloud Service experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 10 years) work experience.
  • Graduate Degree
  • Experience in application architecture / enterprise architecture, systems integration and development, and package implementation with knowledge of interactive design
  • Experience in multiple front-end web technologies including: HTML/5, CSS, JavaScript, React.js
