Position Overview
The position requir es the use of computer technology and mathematical skill to prepare an es ti m a t ion of the amount of material needed for the con s t r u c t i o n of a home in acc ordance with Company polici es .
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.85 per hour
Es sential Job Duti es :
- Es ti ma t es the amount of materials needed for home con s t r u c t i o n acc ording to company policy and local building code.
- Assists sal es men as needed with customer orders and materials lists.
- Assists in trim take-offs as requ es ted .
- Provid es assistance to con tractors as needed.
- Trains sal es repr es entativ es in es ti ma t ing techniqu es .
- Assist sal es staff with blueprint reading and con s t r u c t i o n p r o cedur es .
- Review actual vs. es ti ma t ed materials on completion of each project.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITI ES :
- Minimum education required -Technical Degree in engineering or related area.
- Minimum experience required-2 or more years of con s t r u c t i o n and building materials related experience.
Special skills required - Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials.
- Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and con crete variabl es .
- Ability to operate networked computer systems and specialized software application programs and to instruct others in effective use of application software.
- Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.
Special Knowledge required - Understanding of measurements and basic math principl es .
- Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time, standing and walking, bending or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
