Responsibilities:

Position is for the Quality Management System Auditor, NSWCPD Code 00Q support, to be part of team supporting Quality Assurance and Technical Administration Support services. This support will include supporting: Quality Management System Program, Systems Engineering Process (SEP) Quality Assurance Program, Shipboard Work Quality Assurance Program, Command Level I Material Program, SUBSAFE Program Office, Special Programs/Test Site Quality Assurance, and Naval Foundry Propeller Center (NFPC).

The primary support will be to the NSWCPD Quality Management Office C/00Q Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS is focused on consistently meeting customer requirements and enhancing customer satisfaction, ensuring that functional areas are compliant with Navy standards and the NSWCPD QMS. The QMS Division ensures that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines. NSWCPD C/00Q is responsible for providing quality planning, quality control, quality assurance and quality improvement, and the oversight of functional areas to ensure continuous process improvements are implemented. The QMS team facilitates and participates in Critiques and trouble reports, conducts audits, surveillances and self-assessments, inputs, tracks and evaluates command quality commitments, maintains Quality Management System (QMS) and website repositories.

The Quality Management System Auditor will be part of the support team to ensure, enact, and validate project execution in accordance with Department of Navy requirements and within time constraints. The Quality Auditor will support conducting, developing and coordinating internal audit program, to include program surveillances and self-assessments. Specifically, the following tasks will be supported:

- assist with conducting process audit, product audit, and system audit.

- conduct audits independently in accordance with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 17025 and/or navy standards.

- adhere to ISO standards and NSWCPD QMS methods and policies.

- assist with conducting audits/surveillances/self-assessments and generate CAPA for the findings and opportunity for improvements.

- assist with conducting, preparing, and researching in QMS Audits, Surveillances, and Self-Assessments in accordance with internal procedures and QMP 1.0, NSWCPD Quality Manual.

- development and maintenance of quality metrics related to customer satisfaction, audits, and expectations.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen with a Secret Security Clearance
  • Associate's Degree in any major field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience in Auditing. The contractor shall also be expected to possess the follow skills and perform the following duties:
    • Knowledge of ISO standards
    • Experience with Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
