The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (GS-0185-12) to work at the 92nd Operational Medical Readiness Squadron (OMRS) on Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Washington. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional social work services in support of mental health programs for the installation's Mental Health Flight and Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

This mission-critical position offers the flexibility to hire like the private sector with a direct stream-lined application and expedited hiring process due to a severe shortage of candidates or critical hiring needs. This hiring approach is called Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) which allows the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) to hire applicants from the public with no prior federal civilian or Veteran status.

Salary Range $79,363 - $103,176 a year based on experience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, develops, maintains, implements, and evaluates clinical social worker service program for the installation Mental Health Flight and MTF.
- Conducts intake evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments.
- Provides evidence-based psychotherapy.
- Provides psychological consolations, education, and training to other mental health professionals, medical staff, military commanders/senior leaders and other DoD and civilian providers.

RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):
- Knowledge of professional social work practices, principles, theories, and administrative requirements to be able to apply them in clinical and operational unit settings.
- Knowledge of professional evidence-based treatments for a full range of psychiatric disorders to plan and provide treatment to patients.
- Knowledge of administration, scoring, and interpretation of select psychological and psycho-social measures to properly assess patient's and family needs.
- Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders to evaluate psychiatric disorders and apply professional diagnostic skills.

Qualification Summary:
- US Citizenship is required
- Master’s degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S Virgin Islands
- Must have practiced as an independent licensed clinical social worker within past two years
- Must have minimum of 1 years of experience
- As a condition of employment, government civilian providers must meet all applicable credentialing requirements IAW local military treatment facility guidelines and be fully qualified to perform within the scope of their practice
