AFCS is looking for a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Family Advocacy Treatment Manager, GS-0185-12, to work at the 436th Airlift Wing, Dover Air Force Base, Dover, DE. This federal job offers a rewarding and exciting career with benefits.

In this position you will be responsible for providing social work services in support of the Family Advocacy Program. As the Family Advocacy Treatment Manager, you develop and evaluate clinical services for the installation Family Advocacy Program. You serve as the clinical subject matter expert, providing consultation to leadership and medical professionals regarding needs assessment, determining clinical intervention requirements, and developing implementation strategies. You perform case management, risk and clinical assessments, and crisis intervention to prevent and treat child and spouse/intimate partner abuse.


Salary Range: $95,694 - $124,398

- Master’s degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Possess current unrestricted license to practice independently in any one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Practiced as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker within past two years
- Two years’ experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse
- Meet all Medical Treatment Facility credentialing requirements
- Practice requires clinical privileges at the host Medical Treatment Facility
- Maintain independent active clinical privileges for the duration of employment
- Knowledge of a variety of social services, social work practices and theories including clinical case work, family and children protection services, and family violence prevention theory and practice
- Ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical service for the installation Family Advocacy Program
- Ability to provide case management activities occurring from initial referral and counseling, through case closure
- Skill in conducting interviews to establish nature and extent of issues to provide professional assistance to clients and determine appropriate referral services
- Ability to apply professional diagnostic skills to individuals and families and establish treatment plans
