POSITION TITLE:  Program Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Program Manager to oversee multiple size and scoped telecommunications projects that could include Wireline (OSP), Wireless, and Technology (ISP). This role will manage all aspects of the Project Manage lifecycle including planning, execution, and closeout processes. scale and scope administrative support for a wide variety of utility construction projects within our Program Management team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience and success leading major telecom fiber builds, be proficient in project tracking tools and system, have a high level of customer centricity, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides leadership to the entire Project Management lifecycle of 1-2 telecommunications projects including creating project plans, manage to milestones, oversee deliverables, track progress, provide customer updates, lead the closeout process, etc.
  • Effectively manages all project tasks, reporting requirements, and communications for all assigned projects including project charters, project schedules, RAIDs, lessons learned, project status reports, inventory, and invoicing report
  • General ability to read and interpret customer contracts and scopes of work; can assist with creating project plans and deliverables to align with contract requirements
  • Direct liaison between multiple leadership teams including construction management, engineering, permitting, finance, etc. ability to drive results and reach desired outcomes without the authority of department by mater relationship building and strong levels of interdependence
  • Proactively manages changes in project scopes and/or financials; can effectively forecast delays and/or issues and create solutions for any strategic changes that need to occur to ensure the overall project success
  • Performs internal and external kick off meetings, requirements gathering and identifies key milestone dates; hosts and manages weekly status calls with all stakeholders
  • Responsible for budget management and project financials; including but is not limited to project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. Responsible for proper forecasting and communication in the event budget issues arise
  • Responsible for the successful project close out process including facilitating close out meetings with all stakeholders, tracking of all requirements, and ensuring final acceptance and billing approval with the customer
  • Supports the change order process; collaborates with internal operations team and PMO team to provide a presentation to the customer on any change order needs; can effectively work through any issues that may arise with the customer
  • Provides tracking and reconciliations of inventory, materials, cost, and invoicing
  • Accountable, Self-Motivated, and Self-Managed to complete tasks within deadlines provided; ensures processes are complete with a high level of follow through and follow up
  • Performs other position duties when requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Regularly works out of a controlled office environment; office may be in a warehouse where yard space is near allowing dirt, gravel, etc. to enter close to or within workspaces
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy machines, and smartphones
  • May visit construction project sites. Must wear common PPE and safety equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, safety vests, steel toed boots, etc.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years of end-to-end customer Project Management (PMO) experience within the Technology, Telecom, and/or Utility Construction industry required
  • PMP Certification preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT preferred, but not required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required

This position pays between $80,000 and $105,000 a year.
