Responsibilities

Trace Systems is seeking a cleared Systems Engineering Lead to supervise and manage a team of subject matter experts in the design, configuration, implementation, operational management, and troubleshooting of the Enterprise Systems on-site at Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to the following:

  • Provide enterprise compliance analysis, compliance assessments of system devices, system applications, and system operating systems.
  • Provide operational and security engineering support for enterprise capabilities and services across all computing environments and their replacement or follow-on systems/capabilities.
  • Assist with onboarding systems, capabilities, and services into virtualized and containerized environments to include commercial cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud.
  • Maintain and manage the Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS).
  • Maintain and manage the Army Golden Master (AGM) in accordance with the Army Standard Software Baseline Configuration (SSBC) Program.
  • Maintain and manage the Cloud Based Internet Isolation (CBII) service.
  • Maintain and manage the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Technical Cryptographic Modernization (or their replacement or follow-on systems/capabilities).
  • Provide Tier II OCSP engineering support and support for certificate-based IP-SEC and 802.1X.
  • Maintain and manage desktop collaboration and productivity services, to include multiple software and services essential for conducting Army business, such as meetings, storage, chat, phone, etc.
  • Maintain and manage the Directory and Identity Synchronization Service (DISS), the Army’s Identity Credential Access Management capability.
  • Maintain and manage the Enterprise Computing Environment (ECE) to migrate systems and applications into approved hosting environments.
  • Maintain and manage the Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication (EDS&A).
  • Maintain and manage the Enterprise Protected Domain Name System (EP-DNS).
  • Support systems analysis, development, and maintenance of processes, procedures, databases and collaborative portals in support of Integrated Test Environment Facility (ITEF) core systems.
  • Maintain and manage Privileged Access Workstation (PAW).
  • Maintain and manage Systems Management (SYSMAN).
  • Maintain and manage database hardware/software and storage capability.
  • Maintain and manage provide Army Enterprise storage, backup, and restore, and Continuity of Operation (COOP) capability.


Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of deep knowledge and hands on experience with the following systems concepts and technologies:
    • Leading large teams (100+) of multidisciplined IT subject matter experts (SME).
    • Windows Server 2019 (or greater) or later/Windows 11 Desktop Operating System, Non-Microsoft applications (examples of non-Microsoft applications include Active Client, Tumbleweed).
    • Virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, RedHat Virtualization, Oracle VM, Docker, or Kubernetes.
    • Integration, implementation, and deployment of virtualized desktop operating systems and applications.
    • Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and End Point Security.
    • Active Directory, ActivClient, Hardware Security Module, OCSP, and Certificate Authority and smart card enablement.
    • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and Apache HTTP servers.
    • DoD Common Access Card (CAC) PIN reset program and workstations.
    • CAC/PKI technologies, CAC enabled Active Directory domains, and virtualization technology.
    • Army PKI and Joint Informational Environment PKI efforts.
    • Microsoft OCSP, Axway Validation Suite, and CoreStreet Validation Suite.
    • Army 365, Jabber, and Google Workspace.
    • Directory Services concepts, Active Directory, Messaging, and Enterprise Directory Services procedures.
    • Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative and Army Data Center Consolidation Plan (ADCCP).
    • Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Technologies.
    • Directory Services products and services.
    • Domain Name Service (DNS), IPv4 and IPv6, DNS Security (DNSSEC), and Trinzic Infoblox.
    • Virtualizing operating system, network, Storage Area Network (SAN), remote access, security devices, orchestration, directory services, and automation.
    • SYSMAN Software Delivery Service and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) packaging.
    • Implementing, administrating, and sustaining enterprise database applications.
    • Storage systems and related components to include the following: Disk Control and Array Frames, SAN Fabric switches and Fiber channel Switches, Storage Monitoring and Management Tools, and Data Encryption Appliances.
    • Backup technologies and products such as Terminal Servers CITRIX Virtualization, Virtual Lab Manager, Veritas Netbackup and Clustering, NetApps Backup, GridControl, or CommVault.
  • Knowledge of the following concepts and technologies:
    • Network infrastructure, technologies, security, troubleshooting, and tools.
    • Virtualization technologies and software, such as VMWare or Hyper-V.
    • Cloud technologies, such as Intune, Azure, and Amazon Cloud Services.
    • Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • ITIL processes such as Change, Release, and Configuration Management.
  • IAT Level III certification (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISSP, etc.)
  • MCSA Windows 2019 (or higher), or Linux+ (or equivalent), or RHCSA (or higher) and VCAP VMware certified advanced professional (VCAP – or higher)
  • Current ITIL V4 Foundations or higher.
  • An active, in-scope US Government issued Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
