We are currently looking for a Full Time HSE Manager for our Griffin, Georgia facility to help drive their Environmental, Health, and Safety excellence.? The HSE Manager is instrumental in driving a culture of engagement and compliance in all aspects of Health and Safety in manufacturing. The Griffin manufacturing site employs approximately 130 valuable employees which we are committed to protecting at all times.?This individual will assist in implement best-in-class practices ensuring compliance and success in employee health & safety as well environmental compliance. This position is based onsite at the Griffin, GA facility, reporting to the General Manager.

- Primary Health and Safety Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Allocate at least 70% of time is required to be spent in the production environment performing standard work consisting of items listed below (not an all-inclusive list):
- Conducts Workplace inspections
- Performs Risk Assessments – New and Updating
- Leads Safety Walks with Plant Leadership and Safety Team
- Coordinates Contractor Inspections
- Perform programmed safety focused audits (TC Program based)
- Manages changes (Machines, work areas, etc.)
- Updating safety communications, and contractor safety boards
- Managing employee's safety concerns
- Review and understand all permits.
- Conducts weekly inspections Hazardous Waste Storage Area
- Performs Stormwater Inspections
- Signs Waste Manifests
- Conducts environmental/DOT training.
- Prepare and submit all required reports monthly/quarterly/semiannual/annually.
- Review chemicals for environmental impact
- Gather/record all environmental data (Monthly air emissions, Oxidizer readings, etc.)
- Periodic review of government websites for regulation changes
- Balance of time used for administrative tasks.
- Leads Safety Team (Agendas, Facilitate, Meeting Minutes, Corrective Action Completion)
- Ensures that local authorities, regulations, rules and codes, programs and policies related to safety are observed. Including interfacing with authorities when required
- Participates in the programs and policies corporate safety audit and follow up.
- Reviews and updates plant documents complying with TC Corporate programs.
- Ensures that accident/injury investigations are completed, causes of incidents are identified and preventive action steps are completed, and effective over time. Directly participates in accident investigations whenever feasible.
- Ensures all safety documentation is maintained.
- In coordination with Human Resources, ensures that all required safety training is developed, scheduled, and conducted and managed according to an established timeline. The position is not responsible for performing all the training but must ensure it is done.
- Assist Facility Manager in the development of Facility and Individual Safety Goals
- Responsible for Corporate Safety reporting
- Decision making accountability:
- Daily prioritization of work tasks, with the understanding that agreed upon deadlines should be met (decisions for which prior approval should be made).
- Lead Direct reports (where applicable)
